This clever book is aimed towards 4 - 7 year olds, but...Vote for Me should be a "must read" for every aspiring politician. We can all see ourselves in the great drawings and comments. The kindergarden students in the hallway sound like this all the time!
I love this ebook. This is a great introduction to voting for young kids. It also helps with manners and how we should treat others and how we should not treat others. I did have a lot of trouble downloading it though. It kept blacking out once it was done downloading. It will let me show it on my laptop but not on my iPad2, which is sad because for one of my centers I let the kids read books on the iPad. Overall when we read the book together on the overhead projector they loved it and found it really funny.
Vote for Me! is a silly take on the election season, geared towards amusing the younger audience. I thoroughly enjoyed the witty humor and darling illustrations. The illustrations have a nice classic feel to them that I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend this book for its humor and pictures to children young and old!
Ben Clanton has written a book that can be used as a teaching tool in the classroom. Using this book especially during an election year will help children understand what they hear on the TV. In this book, Donkey and Elephant are running for president. Each of them are trying to convince you to vote for them, and not the other.Children will enjoy the pictures and the witty banter between the two animals. The book is easy to read. Parents can use this book to help explain to their children what they are seeing on the TV in the commercials that go on during an election year. I highly recommend this book. Very good!
This is a hilarious book that would be great to use to introduce kids to politics or as a fun gift to a friend. I found the content to be hilarious for both kids and adults alike, and the illustrations are a lot of fun too. I would highly recommend this book! :) Well done, Ben Clanton!
