I picked up all 3 of these digital audio books (LOTR Trilogy) to listen to for a road trip. The first two are good (would recommend), sometimes too dramatic and somewhat cheesy but overall enjoyable. This, the final audio book, takes it up a notch. The voice acting often moved from immersive and engaging to irritating and excessive. There was also some new random fascination with singing throughout the book, all in an operatic, vibrato style... it was ...not good.I am a LOTR fan, I have enjoyed the books, films and other audio books. Unless you feel open to excessive (often high pitched) dramatic voice overs as well as uncomfortable vibrato songs, I would suggest skipping this audio book. My guess is most will find that it distracts more than it adds to the story.
