Awesome job with this book! Pastor Willie Lee the founder of Lee Chapel passes away, it is written in the will for his son Willie Lee Jr., to take over the church. Willie Jr. was never into church. Willie’s mom, Ephesia prays that her son will be able to fill his dad’s shoes. Willie’s Uncle Joseph was a crooked Deacon at the church. Willie did not want to take over the church and follow in his dad’s shoes. Willie wife Brenda leaves him, due to him not working. Willie takes up gambling with his Uncle Joseph and takes money from the church. Awesome job!!!
I so enjoyed reading this book. Even with all the humor it taught some needed life lessons.Sometimes parents have such big dreams for their children they're unable to handle it when the child rebels and drags their feet. In this case, it's a grown child who feels slighted when the parent passes and leaves him less than he feels entitled to. The author uses jealous relatives to illustrate how busy the devil is to entice the son and encourage him to claim his entitlement.She infuses some funny situations that leave you angry with the weak-minded son, hoping he can pull away from the evilness.I'll definitely recommend this book to my book-loving friends.
I enjoyed this book I wished it was a full novel. We don't always know what is ahead of us but God has a plan! Nothing wrong with the title but it struck my sprit about were God is leading us to. We.all will get something different. Thank you there is always something in her books for me
I did not plan on reading this book initially. I saw the title and read the sample and was hooked immediately. I have read a lot of book by a lot of authors and was not familiar with these two, but the writing was excellent. The story line was great as well. It speaks to the fact that parents see things in their children that the children don't see. Willie's father believed in his gift even when Willie did not know it was there. But when you surround yourself with questionable people, you can go down a path that can put you in harm's way. These authors seem to understand hurt and loss and triumph and now I'm a fan of their books. Can't wait to read something else.
I enjoyed reading this novel.Galatia, Joseph, Brenda and Willie are delightful characters and can be found in churches everywhere. Not With The Church's Money deserves the highest rating....Yes!!!Reality....CAN THIS BE??? Joseph is out of line!!! Will there be a sequel??? Thank you Lord for Willie accepting Christ in his life....the two together is unequally YOKE!!!
I am so a big fan of Michelle Stimpson, and now a fan of the dynamic duo! The story was awesome and an eye opener to what could happen once you are out of the will of God. Way to go ladies! Can't wait for the next book!
This is a wonderful story. The characters are well developed and the story line flows smoothly. The conflicts presented in the book was thought provoking and provided an opening for dialog within my family.
