We stumbled over this 3-CD set at a local public library. Ever since the first listening a year ago, it has become our most favorite CD set. I am giving a 5-star rating not only because how much my two daughters (4 and 9) love it, but also how much I enjoy listening to it with them! We have to commute over an hour each day. This set is the ONLY thing that we ALL enjoy. Peter Dennis is incredible! Each of the beloved animal characters is brought to life under Dennis' "designated voices". It is like listening to a one man drama without realizing that it is done by one person. In my opinion, it beats any of the childrens' TV shows! I wish that there were more CDs like this. This is a recording which will put a smile on your face each time you listen to it. It also brings giggles and laughters... Highly recommended! Would have given a 10-star rating if there was one!!!
My son loves Pooh on CD. He was ecstatic to get the stories that included Tigger. The reading isn't as good as the first volume, but who can compare with Dame Judy Dench. Also, Piglet snorts a lot which my 4 year old though for a good time was Piglet farting. Just beware, there will be raucous laughter.
I absolutely enjoy these CD's. I usually don't care for "silly" kid's stories, but these are humorous for everyone. All the voices are stellar, and pulls you right into the story. This is great for the whole family.
This tried and true classic is wonderful. The voices are sincere and not over the top. It always puts us right to sleep with fond memories. I highly recommend this recording.
I could not stand Dennis's voice at first because I was so used to the Disney version. This matters because if my kids are listening to something everyday, I'm hearing it everyday whether I like it or not. But I have grown to not only love these recordings, I think Dennis is a master storyteller! Impressive and fun.
