The stories themselves are pretty good; some are even very cleverly written and refreshing....HOWEVER, the EDITING is AWFUL!I was often frustrated that I had to edit in my head in order for the sentences to make sense. I can't think that it is Ms. Blair's fault,since I cannot imagine an author with such poor command of the language! i suspect it was electronically edited and therefore,has fallen victim to spell check that doesn't discern between real words and words that make no sense even though they are real words,and thus doesn't correct the error. And of course, it never corrects punctuation. Another problem I had in some of the stories is that characters' names and descriptions are mixed up as the story progresses, so then I had to keep going back to try to determine WHO the author was talking about. VERY, VERY FRUSTRATING, so I didn't enjoy this set much.
I saw this set and thought how could one author come up with 20 different spins on the same theme. But she did. I enjoyed all the stories but number 20. Seemed likes different author wrote the last one. I usually enjoy longer books with more details but enjoyed these for a change. Found editing errors . I would recommend this book.
this is considered a box set, and I suppose it is, however it is a collection of short stories that are poorly written, same story different people, no details, jump from time to time with no accounting for what went on in the story for weeks at a time. you know within the first few pages how the story will end. I read 12 stories hoping that it would get better. It didn't. it only cost .99 for the set, now I know why.

This must have been a first try for the writer. There were some good story ideas but lacked writing skills and editing. There were a multitude of mistakes. With help, guidance, editing and practice, I sure the author will improve.
I love collections like this - new authors. I truly enjoyed the Mail Order Bride stories; they were delightful and interesting. My only reason for not giving this collection 5 stars was the lack of good proof reading before publishing - mix up of character names, s or ed missing from words and a few grammar oops. This may not bother most readers but it does bother some (like me). For the authors I loved your stories!!
I very seldom critique books but I am now.Were these books privately published ?Did anyone check the spelling ? ?Miss Sinclair,I hope your future books are looked at more carefully.
The plots, for the most part, were good, but it's obvious these stories were published without edits. Grammar, spelling and punctuation were a huge issue, but what made the stories even harder to follow was the name confusion. The author obviously forgot which character was which and often switched names. I was able to read this series for free with Kindle Prime, otherwise I would have returned it for a refund.
