Our school district is requiring us to read this little book. I bought the CD to give the students another way of reading the story. I play it while they follow along, I also play it just for them just to listen to and complete listening activities. However, the bland, slow, monotonous voice of the reader is annoying to the students. I was hoping for a reader with more expression and a more natural pace. Also, even though she seems to be a native speaker, she mispronounces some words, for example, the word "aeropuerto". So if you're thinking of shelling out your hard earned money on this CD, you might want to save your cash and record your own voice instead.

I was hoping that this would be at a faster pace. The pause at the end of each sentence makes a chapter go by so slowly for my students. If I could return it, I would. I will have a native speaker (exchange student) read and record it for me instead. I won't be purchasing any more of the CD versions of the stories.

I really enjoy playing the books on tape for my classes when we work on the novels, but this particular reader is reading too slowly! It's painfully slow with long pauses. This is a level 2 book, so I wish it were more of a normal reading/speaking speed.

I purchased the CD and paperback book together. They were exactly what I needed to improve my listening comprehension. An EXCELLENT learning tool!
