This book is exactly what it claims to be. ... a book of templates. I have learned in life that one size does not fit all. That said, these templates can be used for ideas on how to structure a nonfiction book, but don't let them rule your creativity at the same time.
I liked the idea of this book, because it shows readers the macrostructure of some book writing styles. But it was troublesome to give the book a high rating.For a five star rating, I would have expected more templates, and more depth, to treat the topic of book structure in a more comprehensive way. Instead, the author chose to split the six template examples into two separate books, making them both small and lightweight. And the author did not treat the general topic of book structure with any meaningful discussion.For a four star rating, I would have expected more templates, even if they were light, and even if the book did not treat the topic of book structure comprehensively.So I ended up with a three star rating, because the topic of the structure was not treated comprehensively, and because there were so few template examples presented. And there are a few typos here and there; proofreading could've been a little better.As a free book, I might've given 4 stars for price, but because this book is only part of one chapter of the authors big book, I stuck with three stars. I still think the book is useful. I would recommend it if you don't mind the price, the shortness, or the lightweight.And now I am off to read the author's big book, because I liked this little one.
If you have a rough draft of a book it can help put things in order. likewise if you are considering writing a book. be aware that it is a very bare bones book and doesn't convey much if you are a novice. its a c+ just for effort.
This is a simple idea. But I can see it being helpful to those wanting to write a non-fiction book but do not know where to start. The templates explain three different styles of non-fiction books.
It SOUNDS like it will be really good. Unfortunately, I can't get to it! I purchased the ebook, but all I get is the Sample. It states to read more purchase the full version... Well, of course, is telling me that I have ALREADY purchased it.I would have put a One Star, but I don't hate it... I WANT it! LOL!! :)R.T. Tolentino would love the full version I paid for... :)
