I love Jack Prelutsky and have numerous books. In fact, I use them in my classroom so much that they are falling to pieces. I have him reading his poems on both cassette tapes and records ( told you it's been long) but I've misplaced the Christmas cassette so when I saw all the holiday books on CD I jumped at the chance to get it. However, it is just Jack reading. There isn't any music or sound affects in the background. Really disappointed!!! I might as well read the poems to the kids. Sorry, I wasted my money.
Not the same. I grew up listening the the cassette version of It's Halloween where they sing and have more emotion! This is just the same person reading the book in a monotone voice. Very disappointed. If anyone knows where to find the original version please let me know!!!!
This audio book is interwoven throughout all of our family holiday traditions--full of funny, kid-friendly poetry that keeps them interested while sneaking in a growing love and appreciation for this art. Our favorite genre is Thanksgiving. After Halloween is over and it's too early for Christmas carols, we break out the Thanksgiving poetry--and it is hilarious! I also highly recommend the hard copy books.
