Before buying the paperback I wanted to borrow the kindle edition to see how the translation is and saw the words are quite small. While the pictures are bright and colorful I wanted to buy a book more for the words than the pictures. Also, if you want to get political/cultural about the translation, there appears to be a Việt Cộng influence to the language which some might argue isn't as authentic in the sense that the communist party tends to change Vietnamese culture to suit an agenda. Of course reading this book won't seem a bit odd to you unless you speak a little bit of Vietnamese already. Then again this book has no credited translator so does Mr. Winterberg speak Vietnamese along with all the other languages his book is translated in? For someone that doesn't list any language credentials but instead remarks on their enjoyment for adventures abroad I'm doubting this. And how are all these translated books English based when he is German or is this all a publishing fail? So no, I won't be buying this book nor will I be recommending it.Books I do recommend:- Gau Nau, Gau Nau, Gau Nhin Thay Gi Day?
