After using numerous calendars and planners, I discovered Amy Knapp's Family Organizer. It's been my go to planner for over 5 years.The planner is bound with metal rings, not plastic. A huge plus for durability. Also, each week includes lists for: To Do, Grocery, and Menu. The Grocery list backs the menu list on the previous page. These are perforated in order to take the grocery list with you without disrupting the menu for the week.As long as Ms. Knapp's organizers are produced, they will be my go to planner.
Although I appreciate the updated 2017 cover (it's thicker than before, and the front inside has a pocket...) I have a few issues that were not corrected for this edition and so I've requested a refund. If you use the tear out menu/grocery lists, the next month loses a whole column of Sundays and half of Mondays. Also, I find the paper to be a little to thin and my 2016 version got pretty beat up in just a few months of carrying it around in my purse. Also, although the planner got thicker covers for 2017, the rings stayed the same size... so there's a bend to things. I had a 2015 Sandra Boynton planner that I will be repeating for 2017... It just makes me happy. I saw that Amy Knapp sells hole-punched planner pages for a binder on her website. That might be a better option.
I love my 2016 calendar and am thrilled to see a sturdier cover with pocket. This has been my favorite planner of all time. I love the prayer/praise section as well as the grocery list section. So easy for me to add things to my list and I always have it with me or in the car. You won't regret purchasing this if you have a busy life and need to keep up with lots of details.
LOVE!!! I love this old school planner! I have been buying this one for years. Love that there is a weekly page to meal plan, grocery list, to do items and enough room to write your daily activities. This is the best planner for an active family. Love the stickers that stand out at a glance. Solid product!
This is a good planner for all the Mom needs. There are things I like and things I dislike.What I like:The cover is sturdy and has a pocket behind the front cover.It has a monthly view as well as weekly views.There is a spot for groceries on one side and menus on the other side.It has all the important kid related thing in there for reference.What I don't like:I'm partial to tabs to have ease of access to the months. It's not a big deal; it's a personal preference.It's heavy for what it is - I couldn't imagine sticking this in a purse as it would probably weigh it down.The groceries and menu plans are perforated. This is great in theory, but it's a bit silly as it would take off a third of the monthly view if you were to utilize those.All in all, it's a good Mom planner and it's very convenient in the way it's set up. There are minor things I would personally tweak, but it fits the bill! Can't beat the cost and I would purchase this again.
I like this planner. I like the "To-do" list, grocery list, space for your menu and of course the stickers. I do wish the the perforated list did not interfere with the rest of the planner because it would be nice to use the list separate from the planner but not fear losing a portion of my month. Also, while I understand that some people still write everything down, I would have loved to use the "Telephone numbers" section for more notes or perhaps some useful information like conversion cheat sheet, or frequently used websites for parents. I think it is a generational issue and many older people prefer to have that information handy but do those people still have small children?? However, over all I like it.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this planner. I have tried so many other expensive planners and they don't have anything on this one. If you have kiddos in school and are a busy momma do yourself a favor and buy this!
I gave used this particular calendar for years. There is a reason I buy it every year. I love the format. It's set up so I can plan my week, meals and grocery shopping at the same time. The weekly to-do list was helpful for notes when we were trying to figure out what was going on with her allergies- I was able to write trigger, reaction and meds given and have the info available for the doctor. There's a place for more notes in the back, too. We've outgrown parts of the calendar- my kids are past the babysitting stage- and some parts are a bit redundant in this age of technology- address and phone number section- but it's still my favorite calendar.I do like DIY, but I'm not into the newest craze of making my own date book. This organizer has everything I need. If I'm feeling crafty, I'll use the stickers in the back to tag my family's birthday and important school dates.
