As a professor, I assign this book in both my undergraduate political science class on gender inequality and my graduate level class on work/family policy. It offers important insights into the political economy of gender inequality in labor markets, politics, and the family and is written in a straightforward, accessible style. The argument is supported by quantitative analysis that my students can choose to read or not. I recommend it highly for anyone interested in the ways in which gender dynamics are structured by material circumstances. The answers are sometimes surprising but always convincing.
Excellent resources for my essay! An easy read with pertinent facts. Will keep in my library as an added resource.
