This is a great book for a 3-year-old child. I'm raising my daughter to be bilingual and I read stories in Spanish every evening. She loves this story and the large colorful images. I like the size of the book and the length of the copy per page -- great for a toddler!
The book is fine if you follow the story but my point of view for a 6 year old child is not very striking illustrations would not much call the attention of children under 6 that is my point of view, but what concerned the book is very good history comes in English and Spanish if is good book
I think the translation could be a little better, but overall it's a great bilingual edition of a classic children's story. My 4 1/2 year son enjoys it and has asked it to be read several times since we bought it. (This is actually a great compliment on the book as my son has quite a collection from which to choose.) I will be purchasely more from this series to add to his little "library". :)
Excellent resource for pk-k curriculum unit on plants, fantasy, beans
In this version, Jack steals the giant's gold, but his crime is justified because his mother claims the giant robbed them of their gold in the past. This is probably best for 4-8 year olds. In a few years when the older kids start stealing their lunch money, they will realize fairy tales are make-believe.
This book was a gift for a close friend, he and his family loved the book. It's great if you want your kids to learn another language and spend quality time with them!
OK book, OK illustrations. Not loving that in a book for very young children (PK and up) it talks about the giant killing Jack's father. I had to skip quite a few lines in this one.
Great for the new reader in my family. He's already bilingual and we're hoping to keep him this way with the new books.
