I went into this book not knowing what to expect. Surprisingly, it read more like an urban fiction and was nowhere near the boring and stuffy genre that most Christian novels tend to fall into. It was real and provided real life scenarios that left my mouth wide open several times. Immediately I closely resonated with Camille and loved how the author illustrated her. She was so real and so a piece of me. Strangely when I read most books I can only identify with one character, but in this novel, I also grew to love Camille's best friend Paige. It was as though i had the best of both worlds: While Camille was a successful business woman/ hermit and book worm, Paige was a firecracker who struggled to keep her feelings in check. This totally sounded familiar. This story was indeed the greatest love story of all because this author not only included the uncanny love that two people have for one another, but also emphasized the love that two people must have for God in order for love to continue to flourish, survive and grow. I ended up reading this book in two sittings, and forced myself to go to sleep last night, never truly wanting to stop turning the pages to this novel. To say the least, this book started off with a bang. When Camille accidentally got hurt I almost fell out of my seat, because it was totally unexpected and it felt so real! And then it was amazing how Ben stepped up to help her while falling in love with her all at the same time was heart wrenching and so romantic. The shock didn't just start there. Paige and Kevin's relationship left me completely humored at the beginning but blossomed into something way more beautiful than expected when the ending of the book neared. Their relationship is the most like mine and my husband's... it's beautiful how Kevin is the calm to her storm.
