I don't know where Kimberly Rae Jordan keeps getting these fantabulous stories, but she should be an emotional wreck... I know I am when I get through reading them. (only in a good way). Than and Lindsey's story was thought provoking and pulled you right in (especially if you're read any of the other books, but not a requirement to sense the undercurrents) to every nuance, emotion, and thought they had concerning each other. Watching their story unfold and seeing them gain a deeper understanding of each other and themselves at the same time was inspiring to say the least. I am a great fan of anything this author writes, but in all honesty, her work keeps getting better and better. I can hardly stand it!
The series continues and it does not disappoint! Great plot, adventure, and characters that you end up feeling like you personally know them.Having been to the Philippians on a missions trip this book ended up being very special to me. I recognized some of the emotions and experiences Lindsay experienced.I only give 5 stars if I'm likely to read the story again. This one along with the rest of the series I'll be reading again.Additionally, I so appreciated Ms. Jordan's help in getting the updated version since has not yet updated the pre-orders. Thank you!
I have read the three in this series and was pleasantly surprised that i enjoyed the latest of the series best!Exciting, but not over the top and quite interesting. I appreciated the take on a mission trip to the Philippines and the sparking love match between the handsome bodyguard and the intriguing heiress.Wonderful to have this balance of depth and light heartedness in a wholesome christian romantic read.Ms Jordan I am definitely a fan ! I have read, all your ebooks till date! You have been blessed as you grow better and better in churning out such lovely inspirational fiction!
While reading The McKinnley series, I'd fallen in love with the growing dynamic between these two! I so hoped Ms. Jordan would write their story...and she did! It was beautiful. It was another great balance of romance, faith, and real life. Great job again!
So happy to read this book. I was super excited when I found out about this new series with the Blackthorpe guys. Having met them in the McKinley series was hoping to see more of them. I love every book I've read by Kimberly Rae Jordan. (I've read all the ones on .) If you haven't read her books before you are in for a treat. If you have read her books you already now what an amazing author she is. Highly recommend any of her books.
Not what I expected. A sweet story, found myself skimming over large parts that didn't hold my interest. Would be good for young teens. Dialogue was simple, situations uneventful, nothing in-depth about story or characters.
This book about Linsey and Than was a very good Christian story. It had heart in it. Linsey had trouble with trust she had to work on. Than had other issues he had to work out. In the end it all came together. Read this book I think you will enjoy it
I think this is my favorite book so far by this author. It is descriptive without slowing down in endless detail. The characters are clearly defined, individual and lifelike. The Christian thread is unapologetically solid. Characters show change and growth through time and experience as does their friendship and love. It is very well edited (thank you). It is logistically sound and we'll researched with accurate description of the Philippines and the culture of the people. I'll admit to some tears, several smiles and more than one '...sigh'. I liked it so much that I wanted to know when the next book is released so I clicked on the link at the end of the book and signed up for email notification. BIG MISTAKE. My email was instantly flooded with eighty, yeah I counted 80 confirmation emails. Different addresses. I'm hoping is not a virus. My suggestion? Read the book, it's really good. Don't click on the link to be notified of the next book.
