WOW!!!!!! This book was in one word AMAZING!!!! Ms. Harris and Ms. Tysha Jordin took the printed word and elevated it to another level. The story is centered around 4 brothers, Ace, Mason, Lance, Jax, their parents, Ace's wife Gianni, Paris, and Lisa. When the story opens we find Ace in a very compromising position with his student, Paris. We are quickly able to surmise that the two of them have been having an ongoing affair for the past 6 months and while Ace is saying that he wants to end things with his wife and he is fully in love with Paris, his actions say something entirely different(at least in Paris' mind). We also learn that something isn't quite "clean in the milk (as us southerners say when things are a little fishy)" LOL, when it comes to Paris aka Peyton. The brothers were brought up in a very religious home where the church and Christianity are full-fledged characters in the story. Their father is a no-nonsense type of man who believes certain things and has endeavored to instill these same principles and beliefs in his boys. For the most part this seems to have worked well and on the surface all of the brothers are seemingly in good places in their lives. As the story unfolds however, we begin to see the cracks in their foundation and their not so "christian-like" behavior. As I stated previously Ace is having an affair, Lance has several children by different women, Mason is secretly lusting after his brother's wife and from what I can tell has been doing so for years and we don't know what's up with Jax yet but I'm sure there will be more to him in part 2.
