Author Daniel Kunin writes a young adult Holocaust story, that takes place post WW2. Supernatural in style, it contains Biblical symbolism as well as elements of fantasy, allegory and fable, typical of the Jewish Literary tradition. The author has taken a very painful theme "The Holocaust" (ie Churban), and has fashioned a story with a unique twist, forcing the reader to philosophize, to question and ultimately to use a good dictionary! This book is an interesting read for upper elementary and high school Holocaust studies programs.
