My daughter has dyslexia and other learning difficulties, so trying to get her to read can be like pulling teeth. She came home last week with a book in this new series "I am Harriet Tubman" and had already read 1/2 the book in school and finished the rest that night. This is HUGE for her! She asked me to get her more in the series, so I ordered two more, they came super fast, and she is already almost done with the second book in just 3 days. I will be ordering the other ones in the series and hope they come out with more. My daughter reads on mid 2nd grade level, which would be a 7 1/2-8 year old level (she is 9 1/2) just for reference for anyone else wondering what age these are good for.

This is the second book in Scholastic's new biography series. This takes us back in time to 1895 on the Lewis and Clark expedition. This will give children a look at what life what like back then. They can read about the hardships as well as the victories that the crew faced as they traveled along. The only thing that we did not like about this book was the illustrations and charts that were inserted randomly into the test. It broke up the flow of the book. We felt that they should have been placed in the back of the book instead of in the middle of the chapters.

When I started reading this book, I had no idea it was for children. I decided to read it anyway and I am glad I did. It was so well written and covered all the high points of sacagawea and her travels. This book is good reading for anyone.

This book taught me how hard it was for Sacagawea. It takes a lot of courage to complete the expedition. I thought the book was awesome! (Written by ABB, age 9)

I rate it more like 67 stars it is a beautiful thing to think of I think that Sacagawea was an amazing person and a person to rememberforever
