Who Was Frida Kahlo? (Who Was...?)
ebooks Download

You can always recognize a painting by Kahlo because she is in nearly all--with her black braided hair and colorful Mexican outfits. A brave woman who was an invalid most of her life, she transformed herself into a living work of art. As famous for her self-portraits and haunting imagery as she was for her marriage to another famous artist, Diego Rivera, this strong and courageous painter was inspired by the ancient culture and history of her beloved homeland, Mexico. Her paintings continue to inform and inspire popular culture around the world. From the Trade Paperback edition.

I bought this book for my nine-year old twin granddaughters. They love to read; in particular, they love this series of books. They specifically asked for the Frida Kahlo book and loved it. This spring an exhibit of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera is coming to our area. This book provided my granddaughters with knowledge about Frida to really make the exhibit enjoyable.

The "Who Was" Books are the perfect read for kids, but I love them as an art teacher. I only see my students once a week, and like to give them a juicy detail about the artist we are studying. These books are a super quick review for me, and give me great information to teach.

Excellent book. My daughter loved it and because she had read this on her own, it ended up being extremely useful later in school when the students were asked to do an impromptu assignment on an artist from the past.

I am from Mexico and I introduce this book to my daughter 3er greater, she really love it, it's perfect for her age I highly recommend it. I promise to her on our next visit to Mexico we will go to see La casa azul!!

Great job of telling her story. Very appropriate for my 8 old daughter. We find the whole series very educational.

These series of books are a great way to introduce kids to non-fiction in a fun, fact-filled way. My fourth grader enjoyed reading it, as did I!

Well, I think that this book is interesting because it tells about Frida's life and Mexican history . I recommend this book to you , I know you will enjoy it. There only 87 pages

I can't find many books from my favorite series (Who Was...?) in my classroom or at the library and this app really helps me read what I prefer and books at my level.
