LOVE this goat book! There is an incredible amount of easy-to-read information about goats in this book. I purchased it for a small group of 9-11 year olds who are studying goats as a project with plans to eventually own a herd of their own. The pictures are clear and concise. The wording is easy for this age group to understand. It seems to be very complete.

We are total goat newbies and this is a very helpful resource! While we prefer the book "The Backyard Goat" this is a very good additional resource and we would strongly advise getting both if you are researching life with goats and if you are a "goat person".

Crisply written, beautifully illustrated, quite plain-spoken about how to raise goats!! A very useful "how to" book - I am thinking it would be worthwhile to consider translation into languages of countries where goats are being encouraged as a measure for improving the qualtity of life! Fine writing, excellent layout, bravo!!

This was a gift for an 8th grade student- I'd promised if she passed all her classes for the 6 weeks, I'd buy it for her. She absolutely loved it! She said that there was so much information that was helpful in it. She's planning on raising a goat in high school Ag, so this will help her get started. It's written in a way that is easy to understand, but also has plenty of information in it, so she'll be able to use it as a reference.

This book was recommended by my mother-in-law who's been raising goats for years. This is s great book with lots of photos. Very easy to read with lots of valuable information, especially if you're new to raising goats.

A must have reference for all goat farmers. Read it before you buy goats - it will make your life easier.

...good book! Well written , organized, and and enjoyable to read. I would say it's everything you need to know if you are thinking about raising goats . I would like to have seen more technical information , more advanced medical information and such. There isn't always a vet around !

this book has a lot of good information. easy to turn pages. would recommend getting this book to help with taking care of goats!
