Telling the time with The Very Busy Spider adds up onto the story providing more input and opportunities for the children to develop their timing abilities. The little clock at the top of the book comes with moveable hands which enable them to show the exact time the story refers to. It can be viewed and accessed from any page since all the pages have a whole through which the clock can be reached. Another good thing is that the images are larger than the ones in the plain board book. The sentences go like: "Oink! Oink!" grunted the pig at 1:00 and the last one: "Whoo? Whoo?" asked the owl later that night at 8:00
The book tells what time the animals came, and then you can move the hands to match the digital time in the book. I look forward to using this with my Kindergarteners. I will use the original book as well since you lose the tactile web in this version.
