I'm very grateful for this product.My mother in law is from Peru and speaks only Spanish. I don’t know how to communicate with her. I feel bad because it’s been 8 years! While I should have taken the time to learn the language, I spent my time bettering my education to obtain my degree and never really had the time. I do know a few phrases here and there, but it gets to be very awkward when all I can do is listen, try to figure out what she’s saying, and only be able to look dumbfounded without a reply. I feel bad because I love her dearly and would love to be able to fluently communicate with her.This set is pretty interactive. Not in that it will answer you back (obviously), but you read through the lessons and take a short quiz at the end, in which you will write your selection chosen from the multiple choice list and later check to see if you were correct or not. From there, you can see which areas you need to study more, or which ones you don’t.I know they say that English is the hardest language to learn, but I think they’re wrong – or I just haven’t been getting it! After using this set to learn some Spanish, I can fluently understand and speak the beginning of a conversation in full effect. The thing hardest for me to fully understand is how the words change with the use of different pronouns.The way the text is set up with so many examples, it is making it so much easier than I previously thought. Even if I don’t fully comprehend the language yet, I can reiterate some of the phrases to myself and their meaning to have a small conversation with my mother in law. I am catching on pretty quickly with this set though, and would highly recommend it!
