I was looking for materials to help my first-grader prepare for a year in France. These activities ask the student to look at a picture, then a word, and copy the word neatly on the lines. No real games, play with the language, or modeling of how the word would be used in a sentence. Not a communicative approach.

This is a great book for my son. He attends a French Immersion school and he is learning a lot of the lessions that are in the book at school. I am able get him up to speed with this book, which put him ahead of his other classmates. Also this was great over spring break because I went over the lessons with him to keep his brain fresh. Also the answers at the back of the book is great since I don't know any french.
This workbook is excellent for teaching upper elementary students. The exercises go beyond simply copying the new words on a line under the picture. Good variety of topics and vocabulary. Nicely illustrated.
This is a good book for the beginner, with puzzles as well as translating English phrases into French, and French phrases into English. Good basic knowledge.
These work and study sheets are even very good for older students to use to supplement the book for 6th to 12th grade. It provides an excellent means for students to begin writing in the target language.
This is a great activity book to add to your curriculum. It gives extra writing activities for those kids who like to read and write. I also use the activities as a homework assignments.Great book for younger French students.
It's a nice reproducible to aid any student taking French. It can even teach an old dog like me, a few tricks! Its a nice extra supplement to any French course. This book is geared to primary grades, but really if you are learning French you have to startwith "primary" level lessons. So-Id suggest it to ANY new student of French.
