The illustration is doing a great job but a little disappointed for the way they do tge translation. It didn't have Pinyin system to assist you to read. I am the native speaker so I can read. The translation is a bit off.
The story and pictures are great, very imaginative. My son loves to look at it. However, though this book was advertised as being in traditional Mandarin, a few simplified characters have slipped in. It's a bit sloppy on the part of the translator or editor. The book would be great as a board book for younger children but this one is a softcover and easily bent.
No surprises was as advertised.
