These are not Dave's best work. The humor seems a bit formulaic & stale. It's still enjoyable if you're a hardcore Barry fan.My biggest issue is with the CDs themselves. My player seems to have a problem reading them, often it takes several tries. Then each CD is broken into 'tracks' that are maybe 30 seconds long. So it's rather a pain to skip through the CD to the place you left off. There are 100 tracks per CD. What's the point of that?
AS AWAYS.... SO ENJOYABLE.... the AUDIO CD version was at times HARD TO KEEP DRIVING, as we LAUGHED TOO HARD! :) We nearly had to pull of the interstate, and sit, till we stopped LAUGHING till we CRIED :() If you do NOT buy this.....you either, have no CLUE how FUNNY Dave BARRY IS, or are too cheap to find out! ( WARNING.......If you are not familiar with his great humor, I would recommend to listen at HOME, and not DRIVE :)
Dave is very funny and has a clever perspective on everything. His below the Capital Beltway book is just hilarious and helps one understand just how bloated and huge our government is and how much is just wasted energy.
Bought this for my husband to use. He is in a nursing home. He can not work with the CDs so I will have to manipulate them for him. I'm enjoying it.
I love Dave Barry, his take on life is unique and hilarious. I have never been disappointed by any of his articles and have ltistened to them many times.
