Too often reading a picture book is saved as a bedtime activity. But I love books that tap into the energy of the day. A Hop is Up highlights movement and begs to be read again and again. Just maybe not before bed. While I like most dog books, this adorable pup steals my heart. My son and I loved following the dog and the movement through the pages.
Just got my book today and I absolutely love it! Sweet illustrations and an adorable story line. I can't wait to read it to my 15 mo old even if she only sits through a few pages. This book is definitely a keeper!
I love the movement in this book! The little boy's simple walk turns into an adventure. If we could all see adventure this way. The artwork is so fresh, lively and unique. Littles will love imitating the moves and adults will enjoy reading this out loud and finding all the details in the faded backgrounds. Love it!
