This book looks like the picture. the clock is accessible from the cover and you can use it as you turn each page and go through the day. it goes through the usual aspects of a toddler's day - wake up, breakfast, reading, play, nap, etc - and helps them relate time to their activities.
My just turned 3 yr old absolutely loved this clock! (Or tick-tock-clock as she calls it) she has quickly come to be able to turn the hands on the clock to the times that go with the story bc of the diagram of the clock on the pages. But she let me know that we were late getting home the other night because "Mommy! It's seven o'clock! We're late!" This is a three year old reading a analog clock face. The people around us were stunned-and so was I! :) I'm just glad that this book provides a fun way to help children learn time.
This book is really cute! I was looking for something to help teach my daughter time that was also a decent price. She loves Curious George and this tale of a visit to a classroom is perfect for my preschooler! Now, she sets the time before I even get to read the page!
NICE BOOK AND THE CLOCK IS VERY STURDY FOR LITTLE HANDS THAT WANT TO "CHANGE" THE TIME. GREAT PRICE ALSO. I LOVE TO GIVE BOOKS AS A GIFT. THIS PAIRED WITH THE STUFFED CURIOUS GEORGE (ALSO FOUND ON )IS A PERFECT GIFT FOR A LITTLE FAN OF GEORGE!! PAGES NICE AND COLORFUL TOO.
My son (age 4) has been very interested in reading/understanding time lately so I thought this would be a fun book for him.We love reading it, and when we are done with the story we look at our clock and adjust the one in the book to match the time.The only downside to this book is every time listed is on the hour - never a quarter or half past an hour...(It does actually say on the back cover: "follow George hour by hour"... but I didn't see that when I bought it online.)
It's a great book for kids starting kindergarten as it is about Curious George going to school and telling time.
I purchased this book for my son who is in kindergarten. With in a week of having the book, he could already tell time easily. The fun details of this book seemed to help incourage him and show him that telling time could be fun. Now for the past few days he has been running around the house telling everyone what time it is, he also keeps telling everyone at a certain that we are going to eat, sleep, shower, etc. I love how much this book helped him that I am actually ordering several more for my children's Kindergarten library!
George loves school and hes in kindergarten hes so happy amd he loves math so much that he got a problem wrong and his teacher checks every kid in the school and he didnt know the problem but he didnt get a prize only if he finished it!
