The tenth edition of Knapp's CONTEMPORARY AUDITING utilizes real-world cases to highlight the work environment of auditors. Using real-world examples and pointing out potential red flags, these cases help students to identify audit problem areas. Knapp's CONTEMPORARY AUDITING contains the most recent, compelling, and up-to-date examples. Those cases most widely used by adopters have been retained: Enron Corporation, Golden Bear Golf, Hopkins v. Price Waterhouse, Lehman Brothers, Leigh Ann Walker, Madoff Securities, The Trolley Dodgers, and ZZZZ Best Company. Many of the ""returning"" cases have been updated to include relevant circumstances and events that have occurred since the publication of the previous edition. This edition features 18 new cases. My textbook arrived on time but when I opened the text I discovered that the pages are tearing away from the binding. It otherwise appears used and pages are worn but no writing on them and are acceptable. My biggest issue is the binding breaking apart and I've only used it one time so I worry if it will make it through the semester.
This book is nothing more than a bunch of homework problems, and there are no answers or explanations unless you buy an online subscription to get them.
Haven't read the book much. Required for class, per usual professor didn't assign from it too much. I'm personally not a fan of auditing, I prefer tax so you can discount my opinion if that helps you. Book was in good condition.
