The book was for a 2 1/2 yr old child who already knows shapes by sight but we wanted him to practice how to draw the shapes. We thought this book would be a great way for him to practice how to draw shapes.There just isn't enough content, each page has a limited amount of shapes your child can practice, three circles in one page, four in another, one square on the next. The shapes repeat for a couple of pages but is just not enough for a pre schooler to practice. Our son tried practicing circles, three circles later we are done and it was time to move on to the next page.The entire page is one big picture and there are a few shapes within those scenes that your child can practice. Our child wanted to color the pictures, so we showed him he had to trace each shape. Thee circles later and we are done, move on to the next page. Just not enough content to practice.Would be best if this book was set up like an actual work-book with a few pictures at the end of each chapter to incorporate the shapes in to the pictures. This way a child could concentrate on the tracing each shape and practice over and over before incorporating all the shapes in to a few final scenes.Use the "llok inside" feature on and take a look at page 6 .. there are only four wheels you child can trace, that's all? Would have been better if the book had multiple shapes to trace ... triangle for the roof of the houses, rectangles for the windows ... a truck carrying boxes and be able to trace the boxes, so much more they could have done with this idea ... Instead is just wasted space.Some people may say this book is intended for an older child who can already do those shapes. But there just isn't enough content, an older child would fly through this book in two minutes!
Great booklet for my 3 year old. Kept him busy for about 15 minutes, only bummer is it's really short. Wish there was more pages, but you get what you pay for. So for the cheap price it was perfect for some quiet time.Maybe if I had taken one page out at a time and slowly worked with each page with my son, I would've gotten a longer use out of it, but for the purpose of keeping my son occupied for a while, it worked.
My toddler loves these books and they're a quick fix for when he's bored. He isn't of pre-school age yet, but he still manages to recognize the shapes, colors, and letters in this book. Good preparation for when he does start school.
I'm trying to do some preschool with my 2 and 3 yr olds and this book is easy and fun for both of them.
I ordered my son a pre-school kit, but shapes weren't part of the kit. He loves the activities in this book! Definitely a must have for your little learner!
Fun and very simple, I got this for my 4 year old so he could practice drawing his shapes. He zipped right through it. Wish it had more pages.
Got this for my 4 year old son to practice drawing shapes. Its not what I expected. I expected more but I'm happy with it still. It helps them to recognize shapes in everyday items
Paper quality is not good. There is no room for imagination. It's straight up tracing with no other skill learning involved. Instructions are not toddler friendly.
