Outstanding thriller by Julie Garwood in book 3 of the Buchanan/Renard/MacKenna series. Filled with thrill-seeking moments, total excitement, suspense, not to mention, a full-blown romance. It's one of those books that is impossible to put down!...........After witnessing the brutal murder of her grandmother as a child and surviving a vicious attack on herself, only to be left for dead, FBI Analyst Avery Delaney believes she can finally put the past behind her. When she joins her co-workers at the FBI, they are concerned that Avery looks frazzled but as she explains that her neighbor, a kindly elderly lady, accidentally hit her with her car, no one thought anymore of it. Meanwhile, Avery, being contacted by her Aunt Carrie, known CEO of her million dollar company, "Star Catcher", has invited Avery to join her in Colorado for two weeks, to an exclusive spa, known as Utopia, given as a gift by her husband Tony. Avery agrees but when Carrie gets there, along with two other ladies, they are met by a handsome gentleman, by the name of Monk Edwards, telling them that their plans have been temporarily changed, due to a flood at the spa, leaving Carrie to text Avery to let her know, not realizing the text didn't go through. John Paul Renard sat patiently at the spa, waiting for Carrie Salvetti to arrive but when he saw the most beautiful girl he has ever seen, just walk in the front door, straight to the desk, he knew she had to be but one word to describe her...plastic! No woman looked that gorgeous but when he heard the woman's fears, and the name of Carrie Edwards, he didn't hesitate when he joined her at the front desk. That's not what piqued John Paul's attention though, as he heard her say the name of Monk Edwards.
