My grandson is almost 8. He is addicted to Minecraft. Although he is an excellent reader, above second grade reading level, he is not fond of reading because he does not find the books interesting. Well I ordered him the entire set of this series. Probably a dumb idea because had he not liked them I would have been stuck with 9 books. Luckily, I judged correctly. For the first time since he had discovered Minecraft, the video game, he was reading rather than playing. It confirmed Grandma's theory that it was not the reading he did not like, it was the subject matter! Yeah Grandma. So the books get 5 starts from both of us.
My grandson loves these books. I got him 1- 3 at Christmas and he read them within a week. So I ordered him 4-6 this time. I guess if your a Mind Craft fan you will like these. I personally haven't read the books. So I can't tell you any info on them.
My son loves these books. Since we found the Diary of a Minecraft Zombie series, reading at night is so much more fun. He looks forward to bedtime and hates to stop. My son is 8 and his reading has truly improved by reading books he enjoys and he REALLY enjoys these books.
My son likens reading to corporal punishment, so I am always on the lookout for fun books that pique his interest in reading. As a Minecraft "zombie" himself, I just knew my sweet baby boy would relate to the trials and tribulations of the titular Zombie in this series. My adorable and brilliant cuddlebug devoured all of the presently-available installments and we are both now anxiously awaiting the next. (Seriously. Can't you just churn these out in groups of four or something, Mr. Zack Zombie?)
My 8 yo son is not much of a reader but loves Minecraft. I was hoping that buying these books would get him more interested in reading and not so much of a fight when it comes to his 10 min reading that he has to do nightly for school. And this book has done the trick. My son will even ask to read a little longer sometimes because he is "at a good part." lol Would highly recommend for any young reader that likes Minecraft.
Love! Love! Love theses books for my 8 year old. He has always struggled with reading and hasn't had the interest in any books before. I can believe how much his fluency has improved, he is flying through the series with such excitement and joy! He has finally connected with reading. Thank You!!!! Please keep publishing more books.
Like N K, yeah this book took forever! Well I am writing this review on the 24thJuly but before 11thJune I checked EVERY DAY for this book. It took 2 months!! But very good book though. Very Good. Still not as good as Cube Kid's books. Not as good. But still good book though. This book is about Cube Kid's 3rd of 4th book quality. I know book 7 is out, but not getting it yet. Just not yet......
I liked how Zack was so afraid that the counselors at camp would eat him. And thought that the cafeteria food would eat him. P.S This was so good it was my favirite in tyhe diary of a Minecraft Zombie series.
