This is a great product, and you do start to pick up phrases quite easily and intuitively. There are limitations to such an "express" learning methodology. I found that interpreting written Italian was quite difficult, especially when it didn't follow the formulaic construction of sentences as prescribed by Michele Thomas.In short, this is a great product to give you enough Italian language skills to get by in Italy. In fact, if you're flying from the west coast to Italy, you can finish the entire set during your flight (assuming you're willing to stay up the entire flight!). If you're doing this to become a truly fluent speaker, this is perhaps not the best product for you.
Have learned other languages using other methods. This version of Italian was frustrating listening to students who didn't know how to compose or say the phrases correctly. I wanted to hear the correct way to say the phrases.
