I bought this book to read to my two grandchildren and they loved it. I was more than pleased with the light, friendly material and the excellent illustrations. As a retired schoolteacher, this is a book that I would have loved to have had in the classroom. The story offers children a beginning grasp of our planet Earth in a way that is fun and holds interest. So many books overwhelm younger children and cause confusion. This book is the perfect beginning gradient. Highly recommend.

When I purchased this wonderful book recently, I knew it would be a hit with my kids. Because I purchased the first three in the series, my children were thrilled that this one was added to the series. The author’s ability to describe the culmination of events leading to the earth’s formation in a melodic manner that is understood by kids is a testament to her ability as a writer. The rhymes are fun; my girls love to say them out loud as if they are being sung, and the illustrations are truly the most vibrant and well created that I’ve seen in any children’s tale. If you’re looking for an informative book that is easy to digest by your children while providing fun family entertainment, then you can’t do better than this. Now that we have this addition, I’ve no doubt that these stories will remain a staple in my household for a long time to come.

I checked this book out because the cover caught my eye. I’m not sure I would call this a science book but, in my opinion, any book that sparks the imagination is a good book and this one does! I especially enjoyed the whimsical illustrations —lots going on in them. I don’t have young children around the house anymore but I know lots that do.My boys would have loved reading this book. Parents will enjoy reading this book to their children. I’ve already recommended Early Earth to several of my friends.

This is the first of the series we downloaded, but our little guy loved it.He reads stuff over and over and after reading this he had a bunch of questions - I can't say I actually knew all the answers but it was fun to talk about science with him. We really liked the layout and the color scheme for each page and felt that it really made it fun. We're going to download the rest of the series and we definitely recommend for other parents.
