This is a sweet book with beautiful artistic illustrations. Really loved the unique artwork. I bought it to help work on our French with our two young boys so it's nice that the story is told in both French and English on each page. My French isn't very good (working on it) but I still found this easy to read & pronounce to them out loud.Also, I noticed was that it is printed in the USA, with a print date of the day I ordered it! Don't know if that is a coincidence or if they only print as needed when ordered, but I thought that was neat!
Very cute book. The cover is kind of like card stock and the pages are medium weight paper, but that being said it seems fairly durable. Each line is written in French and then in English making it great for those trying to learn either language. Each line of text is short with very basic vocabulary (Je suis Mini...Tu es grand...etc), which is good for young children or anyone starting to learn French (or French speakers starting to learn English).The font is easy to read, though some of the text may be a little on the small side for those just learning to read.
Cute, simple and short. I want to give my baby every advantage possible when it comes to being multilingual and purchased this book so I can practice my French and expose her to the language at a young age. This is a cute little story and has simple vocabulary and isn't too long.
My babe loves the illustrations even at her young (2 months) age! They are magical and fun. I love to know Im helping her be more aware of different languages! Also its a paperback but the cover is a waxy material that can be washed! :)
My daughter absolutely loves this book. We read it over and over again and we are English speaking. I read it in French. She even sits down and reads it herself (from about 13 months). The pictures are very colorful and there are lots of interesting things to look at.
I love this super adorable book. It has lovely illustrations and is about the same length/text as many classic young children's books such as "Are You my Mother." Definitely an early development/younger child book. I like that it is in both French and English so I can read it in French with my daughter, but grandma and grandpa can read it with her as well. I think this will help a lot in her learning to be bilingual. I also have a couple French only books I read with her. So far this is one of my favorite books to read with her in any language. Absolutely love it. The illustrations are so pretty and well done. She is only 9 months but enjoys when I read it with her and looks at the drawings, which have vivid colors to appeal to younger ones.
J'adore ce livre pour les enfants, mais aussi pour moi. C'est simple est belle. (Trying to learn French and using children's books, newspapers, and songs, plus the program called Duolingo on the web. This book is one of our favorites, with wonderful illustrations and a meaningful story of a child who learns that size is relative, and perception varies from individual to individual. Acceptance of oneself and others is a good lesson, taught with humorous pictures, repetitive enough to give a child many French words and sentences that are fun to say..
I love this book, it allows French into a toddler's life in a way that can be repeated ( by the verbal ones) and my two year old grand daughter knows half the lines by heart now! It has imaginative illustrations that add depth and humor I love the French fries in their carton in one of the scenes sbd the worms setting up house in the apples
