The books themselves fit firmly into my "beach reads" file, for which I refuse to pay more than $5 a pop, so while I actually enjoyed these books (and I'm new to this genre and was a complete skeptic) I'm confused as to why the quartet is so expensive. 1) E-books should by rights be cheaper than print--There is no printing, shipping, stocking, etc that normally go into the price of print books.2) Purchasing the books individually is cheaper.3) Normally, you get a break when you buy a bundle...Definitely not the case here.Don't get me wrong, I think you should read and even buy these books. They're perfect for a lazy Sunday or anyone who have weddings on the brain, and there's a little something for women with different personalities. Just maybe don't buy THIS bundle.
I stumbled across this box set by accident. I read about Bed of Roses and it being the second books so looked further for the rest of the series. Once I had purchased and it had arrived it took me 3 days to read all 4 books. The books are probably the best books I have read in a really long time. I loved the stories, the characters and didnt want it to end. I wish Nora Roberts would right a follow up book for the girls or that we would see a movie made from the books.
Nora Roberts' books are always a good read but I don't understand in this case why the bundle Kindle price is more than the total of the individual Kindle prices for the books. I know it says the price is set by the publisher but it does not make sense.
This is such a great book, that I look forward to going back and reading these stories again like some that I already have, and I am impatient to read the rest of Nora Roberts' stories right now. Hot, Hot, Hot, love scenes, a well written, creative and intriguing story about family plus inventive, vivid characters, all on top of seriously wonderful love and romance. Each story is about one key person, usual in a family, or close group of friends, they are linked through intricate, messy links and it's almost like a movie you get the privilege of witnessing about these people's powerful, emotional, and often times painful journey towards falling in love. Roberts is one of my most favorite author's, and she doesn't disappoint in this series. Her unique style and classy, yet moving love scenes, paint a beautiful picture that leaves a person longing for something similar for themselves. All of that is combined into this fantastic series and make this book a "must-have"!!!! I didn't want to set it down....seriously!! Lol I was nodding off over my book on several different occasions. Worth the price and more to have a Nora Roberts book in your library collection!!!!!!
I can't begin to describe the enjoyment I had in reading this series. A good book is like a good friend, difficult to leave alone. I was not nearly ready for the stories to end and I like the intertwining of the four stories with the four young ladies who fall in love and become engaged to be married. It just so happens that they own and operate a bridal business including their own venue. An excellent read! We already know Nora Roberts' reputation for consistently superior novels, this quartet will not disappoint.Margo Olson Turner
This is my second go-round (ok, its really the 3rd) for The Bride Quartet. These stories hold up, the women are very much like a few women I know. The men are YUMMY - way too yummy - but somebody's gotta appreciate them and I do! I do! Give yourself a treat: the books and the time to read them. You deserve it.
We with a good set of girlfriends from elementary on... Can relate to keeping close to our friends... But then to run a wedding planner business and have a great ending for all four girls... Was just fun!
Light and entertaining. I like the books on CD to listen to when I am in the car. It makes driving so much more pleasurable. The narrators are usually excellent and they read with a lot of inflection and passion. I enjoyed these very much. And of course I just love Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb books in any form.
