This book is a fun introduction to law as a profession. A broad overview, along with the mention of specific legal terms, gives readers a good sense of what lawyers do. From schooling to becoming a judge, a brief look at the life of a lawyer is something we rarely get, especially as children. This book gives children a chance to learn about lawyers, and perhaps strike an interest in the profession at a young age.

Not worth paying $5 to ship it back, but just a warning to other conservatives buying this book, the second to last page which highlights presidents also prominently features Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama and their respective law degrees. I bought this book for my children to help them understand my career, and what being a lawyer entails should they decide to follow in my footsteps. I do not think two democratic first wives with law degrees, one of which may or may not be criminally indicted, should be featured with our nation's greatest leaders. If the author is wanting to feature strong female leaders with law degrees, there are many others out there that stand on their own, both democrat and republican. If this two page spread was different, or if I was not the strong conservative I am, this book would be very good. As is, fellow conservatives should avoid. Instead of reading to my children, this will go in the waiting room of my law office.

Written in a warm, friendly, educational tone in pleasing rhyme, this is a great book to read aloud to your children, grandchildren or young students. The author's passion for her profession clearly shines through in her tribute to lawyers and all that they do. Perfect for those with a lawyer in the family, or those interested in learning more about the profession. Beautifully illustrated -- I highly recommend to Read, Share and Enjoy!

Finally, a story the explains what lawyers do in a way that kids of all ages can understand. From judges to trial lawyers to transactional lawyers, kids will have fun learning about all of the different things that lawyers do in their careers. The illustrations are wonderful and the book is suitable for all ages. If you are a lawyer or know a lawyer, this book will be a good teaching tool for kids and you likely will learn something, too!

This book is great for children and adults! While children will enjoy the rhyming and the illustrations, adults will appreciate the information about the legal profession. A great gift for the lawyer in your family or for kids who want to know what 'mommy and daddy do at work all day.' This book also achieves what the author wanted; to subjugate the negative stereotypes that lawyers have.
