This text book is very vague. As a paralegal student I have a difficut time understanding what the objective of the assignments listed are because the directions are generally statements rather than instructions. Also, the book continually emphasizes the need for expectional proofreading and editing skills in the legal environment--however, the book is filled with bad editing and proofreading. The first chapter exercises are actually from chapter 2 and the glossary has several editing mistakes. The book is only a starting point--I had to purchase several other books in order to actually understand what was being taught and how it applies to legal issues; if it was not the required textbook for my class I would have returned it for a refund.
