This is just a cheaply made audiobook cobbled out of some lectures and seminars...not sure if there was ever a book. Stretched out to even make it a few hours. Some good advice, but dIsappointing overall!
With witty humor and relevant examples, Dr. Marshall Goldsmith is superb. The ways in which he recommends leaders develop their capacity to impact and influence others is strategic and practical. Having done some of the methods he recommends I was validated in my use of the carrot and the stick, as needed! Making sure leaders get the information necessary to become great and lead from a caring standpoint, rather than their people being their slaves on the plantation, is brilliantly needed. I can recommend that people seriously listen to this, and evaluate where their level of leadership is!
Listen to it over and over again.....what you learn is priceless...
