Concisely applies the correctives, according to Scripture, to the all-too-commonly received dispensational futuristic teachings on eschatology. Written in 2003, it is a quick introduction to the proper understanding of the historical context of the Bible, which continues to increase today, praise the Lord. Brother Crenshaw's (very affordable!) contribution is an excellent resource to share with beginners seeking truth and needing deprogramming.
This is indeed a powerful "little book." If it doesn't change your mind, it just might make you think. Tobin Crenshaw takes on a dicey subject and shares if from a knowledgeable point of view. The end times is a contentious and thoroughly discussed topic. This concise presentation of another view point and its historical and biblical basis definitely shows there is more to consider than the main stream views. This is worth reading and worth considering. There is information in here you need to know!
I appreciated the author's handling of the opposing points of view on this important and often controversial topic. He was respectful and accommodating with his portrayal of those who hold opposing theological positions, while making his POV clear.
A short simple introduction to preterism and some of the objections against it.As a newbie I found it aimed at the right level, though I wish it had been longer.It is very convincing.
Tobin Crenshaw tackles a few passages that many Christians find difficult to understand. If you are just starting to look into Preterism you should find this book helpful.
