Used this textbook in highschool. It starts with romanji and works through hiragana, katakana, and eventually starts using kanji. This book is a little hard for people to use who haven't used it under the instruction of a teacher though, so I wouldn't recommend it as a first book for people trying to self-teach themselves. There's a lot of group work prompts in this book as well, so it's definitely meant for a classroom.
Good condition, but way to expensive for a used book! After taxes and shipping cost, it was almost $50. A lot to me.
