First of all, I am very impressed with the low price and high quality of this product. I hadn't noticed it in the description, but I was happily surprised to find there are many CD's in the case, each of them about one hour long. I'm only on the second CD, but I really like the plain English translation, how easy it is to understand and the pleasant timber of the narrator's voice. I would reccomend this to anyone as a convenient way to "read" the bible.
A wonderful amplified translation that brings life to the New Testament. Clear and easy to understand. When my mother was dying, all she could do was listen, and she wanted to listen to the New Testament. She loved this version, and it brought her great comfort in her final days. I look forward to listening to it on a December road trip with my husband.
I own most translations of the Bible and have the audio versions of the New King James Version and the Message. I listen to The Message more because Kelly Ryan Dolan has such a pleasant and expressive voice. It's like listening to music.
I want to get close to Jesus and have a hard time finding time to sit and read the word so this is perfect. I put it in my cd player while driving and its great. Very well spoken and well read.
This bible in CD version is perfect to listen to in the car, or any where. I believe that having the book to read along with it would be an added plus. A great gift or just for your self.
This is a great version of the New Testament! Eugene Peterson is a very good narrator. Highly recommend this version.
