I took Spanish class for 2 years in high school, but after graduating, I seemed to forget everything that I had learned. I really only remembered a few things. I was always interested in picking it back up again and refreshing my memory. Pimsleur Approach really helped me do just that!The box comes very well presented, and inside are 2 folder type things containing all of the CDs. I popped the first CD into my computer and within minutes I was starting. After a brief introduction into the program, the learning started. First you would hear people talking fluently in Spanish, then it would break down the words piece by piece. They teach you how to properly pronounce the words, breaking it up into sections. After repeating out loud a few times, I easily had the hang of it. You then would move on to new words, however every so often they would reference back to one of the previous learned words to give your mind a bit of a refresh. This truly made all of the difference. By the end of the lesson, I was fluently speaking in a conversation. I am progressing at my own pace which is so nice. If I feel unsure about something, I simply hit the replay button and start over with the lesson. And the best part is, you can do this right at home, in a judgement free zone. Honestly I am learning more using this than I did in high school with my teachers!I have been using this program for a few days now, and I really feel confident in learning a new language again. I think the Pimsleur Approach is a great way to learn, and truly understand a different language. It is so easy to pick up on, I think anyone of any age could find this useful. I highly recommend doing this at a time when you can completely relax, and focus on the lesson.
