I have just started listening to this set, and I really like the reader's voice and intonation. I especially like that each track contains one chapter of the book so it's easy to manage where you need to begin.
I can't say I "hate it," since it is the Bible we are talking about here, but... As much as I want to hear the Word, the voice is so distracting, I can't follow or "take in" the words being spoken. It's a very deep baritone voice, and rather monotone. Had hoped to use this in the car, but I'll need to find another option. Would've returned it, but I missed the 30 day window.
I could not be happier with this set of audio cd's. They came in original packaging within 2 days of ordering. Each cd is in it's own cardboard sleeve for protection...The sound quality is perfect. The reader flows really well... I have seen this advertised for up to 60 bucks so I am so glad I found it here, I even bought a copy for a friend. The only thing I wish was that there was an option to buy the Old Testament too :( I have a 5 year old that I homeschool, so it is awesome to just pop in some headphones and listen while I clean, cook or whatever.... You will not be disappointed if you purchase this set!!!
THis is a great tool to have and listen to i enjoy listing to this and reading along in my bible with it from time to time, i also watched it to the gospel of john DVD movie & it goes right along with it...!!! it's totally mind boggling...!!! Great to lie back relax in bed & listen and learn GODS incredible words & teachings...AMEN ;)
Arrived prior to scheduled date. Narration is well spoken and pulls you into the subject matter. Listen as I go to work and on trips. Great to listen to after reading chapters in the amplified bible because it is spoken word for word.
I really enjoy listening to the cd's on the Amplified Bible, I listen to them almost every day. They are well worth the cost. They expand the word makes it easier to understand.
I use this wonderful tool every time we travel on long trips and even when I just go short distance's around town. Amazing how much you can be encouraged by the Word of God!
There are better versions for free MP3 on - NRS New Testament - New Revised Standard Version is easy to listen to. The only down side might be if you wanted it in a CD format.
