If you learn by listening.
I was looking for an audio CD to pick up some Japanese language basics before an upcoming trip. I was surprised to find that there isn't a lot out there. This CD would be ideal for a business traveler since it spends a lot of time on introductions. I would have appreciated more phrases like "I'd like to buy one ticket" or "where is the bathroom" or other useful sorts of travel phrases, but this at least goes over some basics such as good morning, thank you, what is that?, and all of the numbers you would need for shopping. It's not bad for a start, but I'll probably try to supplement it with something else.
