I sent this to my grand baby for Christmas and his French mom is thrilled. She said she wanted very much to read Dr. Seuss but the English version didn't quite make sense to her. The French version takes this tricky English story book and translates it into something that's enjoyable in French.
As a long time fan of Dr. Seuss I was thrilled to get this for my yet-to-be born daughter. My wife and I already read it to her at least once a week. No surprises other than a few french words we were not familiar with. Still, a must for lovers of the French language and Dr. Seuss.
Very happy with the purchase. Because of the low price I didn't even realize it was hardcover until it came in the mail, which is great. Cover and spine are sturdy and the pages are thick, so I expect this book will stand up to a lot of use. The text is a good size and easy to read, even for younger children. My French is somewhat limited but as far as I can tell it is accurate.
So happy to have found French language children's books on ! They are hard to come by so I love that the ones they have are actually popular English books too! I can't wait to read this to my son!
I have been taking french at school for about 5 years now, and I've been trying to incorporate as much french in my life as possible. One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish was the first book I ever read, and it is the first book that I have read in french! For a used copy, it came in perfect condition. I also wasn't expecting it to be shipped and delivered until at least July, and it came on July 21st, when I ordered on July 16th. I am so pleased, and I'll definitely order from this seller again!
The text is written completely in French -- no English translation and you won't need one to understand the French text.I love using these readers to practice French and introduce my grandson to a new language.
Just like the English version only this one is in French. I purchased this book in order to start chewing my daughter some French. This book is actually a lot longer than I had remembered! It's very cute though and I highly recommend it.
I ordered this book with the hard cover and it is just lovely! I am very happy with it and I am excited to give it to my daughter for Christmas. My husband speaks French and we are trying to immerse our daughter in French as well.
