If you look at the translator of the book, it lists a website. A website. And it's obvious. The "Korean" words for some of the terms are just the English words Koreanized. For example, the Korean word for knife is "kal." But in this book, it's "nigh-e-puh." Sad. DON'T buy this book, especially if you don't know any Korean, in which case you don't know which translations are actually accurate. I can't believe the publisher actually permitted this book to be published.
There are maybe one hundred words in this book. I was hoping for me. Some of the words aren't translated properly. A native Korean explained that some of the words (example bowl) is technically correct but it's not what one would use while speaking. Also, it looks like they use the same book for every language with the multi-ethnic, overly-sanitized pictures. There is nothing particularly Korean about this book besides the translations.Finally, and I know this is too detailed but the book shows a beef cow and gives the translation for dairy cow.
Bought this book for my great nieces (4 & 9 yrs old) we are learning Korean together. We love it! 감사합니다
It looks like the book cover. I thought it was good. Wish it have more words though. I think it's good to learn basic words.
I thought most of the words in the book were accurate to what my mom has taught me. I like it and try to go over them with my son who is 2.
My grandchildren found it easy to follow. They want us to help read and pronounce words with them. It has become a positive experience.
