I found this book very easy to understand and well structured, the little one enjoys learning from it. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to teach children reading in Russian.
I have been looking for a long time to find Bukvar that would help two of my little ones master the language. I found hundreds of ABC books for Russian out there... none of them compared to this one. We love the layout and easy to follow format. There is definitely love and logic built into it. It is easy to follow and helps kids who grew up surrounded by English language master the foundation of a language that is very foreign to them. Thank you for the wonderful book.
Awesome book! Colorful! In addition to familiarity with letters, syllables and words of the system, there is so much fun and practical exercises through which children correctly build the Russian language. We and our children really liked this book. Thank you!
I bought this as a gift for my friend's daughter's 1st birthday. And I made sure to go through the book prior and I must say it is a pretty good Russian alphabet book. While the letters are not placed in order, they do seem to go from the easier letters to learn to the more difficult ones and teaches some simple ways to phrase words and all that along the way. Definitely good for the younger kids and people in general who are starting to learn Russian (I can see using this plus some free youtube videos on pronunciation as a great starting point).I would probably buy this again for my own home (as my Bukvar is an older version and not arranged in such a simple way). Only downside is that this book does not have a page with the Russian alphabet in order (not really a big deal though as you can just print it offline for free anyway). I was also impressed with the quality of the book (nice hardback book with cute colorful pictures throughout).
