I think it was written for my husband!! Literally. It is everything that he does with our son. Singing silly songs. watching TV. Making up stories. It is all there. Completely awesome!! Every Daddy needs this book.
My 1 1/2 year old loves this book, whether it's to him by mommy or daddy.There's fun/funny scenarios, it rhymes, the art draws my son's attention in, & it's sweet.After checking it out several times at the library, we purchased it as a Fathers Day present (because Daddy loves it too)
This book is so sweet. I bought this book for my husband for his birthday. This was supposed to be from our 2 year old daughter. When he read the book he teared up. He said "how did you find a book that fit her and I so perfectly". They read this together every night.
Our daughter loves this book and insists we read it to her every night. She even sleeps with it in her bed.
I love this board book! Okay, I'm biased because I'm a dad and it's all about how dad is awesome. But we ARE awesome....so my bias is more of a clear understanding of reality!This is a cute little book about all the fun things daddies do with small children. Things like getting climbed on and tucking kids into bed at night. Stuff like that. It's a very soothing sweet book that's great for bedtime, especially since the last page is about tucking into bed. Just generally about the fun loving relationship dads have with their kids.The illustrations are very well done in a cartoonish way with vivid colors that attract the attention of even a small child. And the wording it calm and rhythmic. My 16 month old follows along well, interested in every page. And he constantly repeats the word "Daddy!" every time it's said in the book, so it's a no contest huge hit for me to read this book to him.And even at 16 months, ANY book that engages a kid even a little bit and makes them enjoy books is a good thing! It will pay off bigger dividends later when they group up and enjoy books they can read themselves.
We borrowed this while traveling for the holidays and our son insisted on reading it twice each night. I fully expect Santa to have it in his stocking for Christmas...
A warm, loving book of nurturing. Great paired with I Love My Mommy for a feel-good nighttime routine.
