What a wonderful way to help children understand verbs are 'action' words. For preschoolers to first graders, that sometimes is a hard concept to grasp. Very nice, simple illustrations clearly show children what the animal is and what it is doing. I really like the picture pages without text at the end of the book that provide parents, grandparents, caregivers and teachers the opportunity for the child to interact. An enjoyable read for all young children without them realizing they're learning, too!
Very nice book for preschoolers. I love the simple but fun illustrations and the fact that the verbs all start with the same letter as the animal they're connected to. What's especially great are the textless pictures at the end of the book, where the kids can find out how well they've memorized what the animals did. Five stars.
This is a great, little picture book. The illustrations are adorable and really help to tell the story. Kids will learn, in a fun way, what animals do!
