Though a CPA, I did very little tax, and nothing in C Corporations. I pick up a big client for financial reporting, but that was a C. I bought this book to come up to speed. It's excellent!!! The examples following each topic really clarify what could be very complicated subjects. The book also does a good job of footnoting the related code / reg.Just weeks later, I was telling the other inhouse CPA, "I noticed that you're not taking the alt min tax last year as a credit in this years estimate." Of course, weeks earlier I had no idea what any of that was.Quite good.
Another really well written text on tax by Pren-Hall.They include numerous explanations that make it easy to understand the complicated tax code.Thank-you Pren-Hall.
I wouldn't say it was an easy read, but the book came fast and in great condition. This edition is great so far and I think it will certainly help with my course.
Bought it for a class. Not really written in laymen's terms. Overly technical and assumes you already know the tax industry lingo and basic concepts.
