This textbook is very easy to read and is full of anecdotes that connect data analysis to local administration issues. It covers the basics of research design, descriptive statistics, probability, sampling, and statistical testing.However there are no example or problems to work through to test that skills have been learned correctly. Another issue is that the style is a little too folksy, where the content is not always clearly conveyed.Could be useful for a very basic introduction to statistics/quantitative analysis, but a lot of supplementary material would have to be supplied by the instructor.
